Cooper House is an infant and early childhood mental health clinic in Seattle, WA that provides integrated mental health and occupational therapy to children birth-5 and their families. We also provide support for birth-5 providers in our community through reflective supervision and training, including Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN) training throughout WA, OR, ID and AK. Our practice is grounded in our commitment to equity.

At Cooper House we understand that families with young children are experiencing complex challenges and are looking for support during the most important years of their child’s life.

Caregivers seek therapy with their children for many reasons. They may want support around behaviors in their young children like fussiness, sleeping or eating issues, aggression, or challenges getting along with other people. Some caregivers come to us because they feel overwhelmed, are struggling with memories of their own difficult childhood, or dealing with stresses that make it hard to focus on raising a young child.

Birth to five professionals come to Cooper House for training and consultation to deepen their skills to attune to child and family needs, and to increase their sense of effectiveness and satisfaction in their work.

No matter what brings caregivers to Cooper House, our team is here to listen from a place of curiosity, humility, and compassion.  We partner with clients to provide support and stability and strengthen early relationships.

As a pediatrician, I find it encouraging to know that there are resources like Cooper House and the Fussy Baby Network in King County. The skills and unique expertise of the practitioners at Cooper House contribute to the overall health and well-being of both young children and their families.
